Kevin McLinton – Head Coach


Kevin attended Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Maryland where he played basketball and football from 1985-89. He helped lead Springbrook's basketball team to the 4A state championship title in 1988, and also the 4A state championship title in football as well capturing MVP honors. He received All-Montgomery County, All-Met and All-American honors in basketball.

Kevin went on to the University of Maryland where he played for the legendary Gary Williams. Kevin was a 3 year starter at the point guard position. He was captain his senior year and won Team MVP. He was also Honorable Mention All-ACC his senior year. He ended his career at Maryland going over the 1,000 point mark. He is currently 6th all-time in assists and ranks in the Top 10 in steals. After his playing days were over, Kevin took his knowledge of the game to coaching.

He was an assistant coach at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia under Head Coach Chuck Driesell (current assistant coach at the University of Maryland) where he helped lead them to their only NCAA appearance in school history. Kevin currently is the head coach at St. Stephens & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Virginia. He has led them to their first conference title in 17 years, their first league tournament title in school history and a place in the Virginia State Tournament in 4 out of 5 years.

His passion and enthusiasm of the game is displayed in the work ethic of his teams.
