Kevin McLinton – Head Coach


Kevin attended Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Maryland where he played basketball and football from 1985-1989. He helped Springbrook's basketball team to the 4A state championship title in 1988, and also the 4A state championship title in football as well, capturing MVP honors in the process. He also won All-Montgomery County, All-Met and All-American honors in basketball. Kevin went on to the University of Maryland where he played for the legendary Gary Williams. Kevin was a thee year starter at point guard. He was the Terps captain his senior year and also won team MVP honors. He was Honorable Mention All-ACC as a senior. He scored over 1,000 points for Maryland, is sixth all-time in assists and Top 10 in steals.

After his playing days, Kevin took his deep knowledge of the game to coaching. He was an assistant coach at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia under Head Coach Chuck Driesell (now head coach at The Citadel) where he helped lead them to their only NCAA appearance in school history. Kevin recently led the Saints to their first conference title in 17 years, their first league tournament title in school history, and a place in the Virginia State Tournament four times in five years.

His passion and enthusiasm of the game is reflected in the work ethic of his teams.
