54th Annual Sleepy Thompson Invitational Tournament
St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School
February 2010
On behalf of the Fathers' Club of St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School, welcome to the 54th annual Sleepy Thompson Basketball Tournament.
The Fathers' Club, supporters of Saints sports programs and events on all three of the school's campuses, is honored and proud to host this event. This tournament is both a high school basketball tradition and a very special event on the St. Stephen's and St. Agnes school calendar. It is an opportunity for Lower, Middle, and Upper school students to all come together and appreciate great competition, great basketball, sportsmanship, and to cheer as one for their school. The atmosphere in Goodwin Gym for these games will capture the very best of what high school basketball is all about: intensity, competition, and enthusiastic school spirit.
Year after year the tournament features some of the best teams in the region and best games of the season. Enjoy three full days of high energy, tournament basketball with eight teams playing every day and vying for the Sleepy Thompson championship trophy.
We welcome Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, Va.) and St. Anne's-Belfield School (Charlottesville, Va.) who are competing in Sleepy Thompson for the first time. We welcome back past participants Montrose Christian, Episcopal, St. Albans, Woodberry Forest , and Christchurch. Best of luck to all; have fun and play some great basketball!
Sincerely,
Fred Hathaway Bill Yarnoff
